A Day All About Me!

I love today. It's the only day that I can claim is mine. Today, I turn 35! I moved to the east coast 9 years ago, and since then my birthday has not been the big deal that I would like it to be. Hellooooo...let's celebrate me, please!

The hubs orchestrated a plan this year and some friends carried it out. It was fabulous!

Saturday night we went to a fancy dinner, well fancy by backwoods New Hampshire standard. It was a nice time and the company was great.

My friend, neighbor and Wednesday night dinner companion made a cake that was served at the end of the meal. (I have now had 3 birthday cakes in 9 years!) She took the opportunity to buy herself cake pans, a cake plate and cover, and an offset spatula. The cake was great - she did a fab job. V - if you are reading this, thank you! This same friend also has fab accessories, and I am always commenting and saying that I need to get this or that...she bought me a this/that in the form of a great red necklace. I can't wait to wear it!

The other couple in attendance, who are just amazing all around for many, many reasons (being incredibly strong through the toughest of times is the most important reason) brought me a beautiful vase.

I was so moved, I had a few tears in my eyes.
